Anne-Catherine's
apéro-tour
How does visiting Lyon's city center and end with a nice local apéritif sound? Wine, cheese, friends: What better way to end a tour of our charming Presqu'île?
I'm Anne-Catherine, I've lived on the Presqu'île for ten years and I'd like to invite you for a bit of history, architecture, a stroll and wine tasting!

What's included
Au programme
We'll meet in the afternoon and take a 1h30 tour followed by (at least!) an hour for our apéritif.
We'll go to the must-sees of my neighbourhood: rue Mercière, Jacobins, Célestins, Ainay, and more. where I'll share Lyon's history, some anecdotes and all the best places to eat, drink or find the best croissant.
Our wine and cheese hour will take place Au Pot de Vin, my favourite wine bar in town, where we'll be offered a local wine curated by the owner Baptiste with amazing cheeses from a local cheese shop (Mons) and - if we're lucky - charcuterie from Bello: also local and also amazing.

Why these tours
I started tours for my friends back when I lived in Paris as I realised we rarely take time to visit our own city. As an incentive, I'd always try to find a nice place to end the tour so we could share a drink and chat. I started doing the same thing in Lyon and thought I could open the concept to travellers, friends of friends, strangers,...
I love my neighbourhood and rarely go a week without saying "l'apéro, c'est la vie" so it only made sense!*Photo @Muriel Chaulet - Ville de Lyon Théâtre des Celestins
the wine bar
Au Pot de Vin
The name of the bar is a play on words, ask me about it when we meet!
I discovered this place with friends a couple of years ago and we never left. I'm there two our three times a week (on top of the tours) and I always enjoy meeting neighbours, friends and local shop owners coming here to unwind after their work day. But, mostly, I truly love the wine, I'm never disappointed by Baptiste's selection and, after two years, I still can't get enough of the cheese and charcuterie.
